The Foglia Photocatalytic Smart Floorlamp, designed by Kevin Chu, is a unique and innovative lighting solution that combines functionality with environmental consciousness. This floorlamp draws inspiration from the natural process of photosynthesis, where sunlight activates the cleansing action of leaves. By harnessing the power of photocatalysis, the Foglia lamp works to eliminate harmful elements such as Carbon Dioxide, Formaldehyde, Nitrogen Oxide, and odors from the surrounding environment.

During the day, when the Foglia lamp is exposed to visible light, it activates the photocatalytic process, effectively cleansing the air. Even when the lamp is switched on at night, the cleansing action continues, ensuring a fresh and healthy living space. The lamp's design features customizable screens, allowing for infinite aesthetic possibilities to suit any interior or exterior design.

The Foglia Photocatalytic Smart Floorlamp is made using state-of-the-art technology. The body of the lamp is constructed from laser-cut steel, treated with a photocatalytic coating. This coating, combined with the use of photocatalytic treated acrylic, enhances the lamp's cleansing capabilities. The lamp is equipped with smart home LED lighting, providing efficient and customizable illumination.

Measuring at W 677mm x D 445mm x H 1720mm, the Foglia Photocatalytic Smart Floorlamp is designed to seamlessly integrate into any living space, providing both functionality and style.

Operating the Foglia lamp is simple and convenient. It can be controlled via WiFi through any connected device, allowing users to switch between colors, adjust brightness, and turn the lamp on or off. The lamp's photocatalytic treatment ensures that once any source of light and moving air passes through the design, the nano-particles are activated, effectively eliminating bacteria, viruses, and odors. This natural and efficient process mimics photosynthesis in nature.

The Foglia Photocatalytic Smart Floorlamp project began in 2009 and was officially launched to the market in November 2018. The second production is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2019. The design process involved extensive research and development, with the geometry and materials of the lamp undergoing multiple modifications to maximize the effectiveness of the photocatalytic treatment.
